What does “Tax Credit” mean in Idaho?

Imagine you owe the state $10 for snacks. In Idaho, if you give $5 to a school like ours, the state says, “Thanks for helping the kids! You only owe us $5 for snacks now.”

It's like getting half your money back while still letting the school keep the whole thing! For grown-ups (parents and businesses), this is a special high-five from Idaho for supporting education. It helps you save money on taxes while helping us buy books and supplies.

*Idaho Code section 63-3029A allows a tax credit for donations to Idaho educational institutions. Check with a tax pro for the math! Your receipt is emailed to you automatically after you give.
